Soundscape of the Self

I'm all about memories, the fleeting stuff that fades like yesterday's dream. My art dives into the messy world of how our recollections get jumbled up by the present. I'm just here to unravel my chaos through my past and present.

Memories aren't set in stone; they're shape-shifters. When we recall stuff, it's not the original memory but a remix that time cooked up. I admire and play with that human quirk in my art, not with grand gestures but subtleties.

I take moments and instances from my life, not for some profound reason, but as a launchpad. By focusing on how the personal aspect of me within my work also will have different sensory reactions for my viewers depending on their past and present. Connect past and present, my story with yours.

Collecting foliage from my day to day, I created this installation. Through the collection and installation process I recorded audio and created a digital soundscape. As the installation deteriorates I will continue to collect audio and the soundscape will continue to evolve.
